Neurology

We provide medical rehabilitation services for patients with neurological diseases:

  • After brain strokes (ischemic and haemorrhagic);
  • After brain injuries;
  • Patients with Parkinson's disease and secondary parkinsonism;
  • Patients with multiple sclerosis and other demyelinating diseases of the nervous system;
  • Various spinal pathologies: after surgery of intervertebral discs, spondylolisthesis or spinal stenosis, spinal cord injuries, impairment of blood circulation, etc.
  • Patients with degenerative neuromuscular diseases and polyneuropathy.

Methods:

  • Kinesiotherapy (individual, mechanotherapy room, water therapy (vertical bathtub, pool, water track);
  • Occupational therapy;
  • Speech therapist consultation and speech therapy;
  • Massage;
  • Physiotherapy;
  • Psychotherapy;
  • Social worker’s consultations;
  • Orthopaedist consultation and selection of necessary compensatory orthopaedic devices;
  • Reflexotherapy;
  • Art therapy.

 

Patients are provided with consultations of all specialists according to indications:

  • Psychologist;
  • Psychotherapist;
  • Social worker;
  • Cardiologist;
  • Pulmonologist;
  • and other relevant consultations.

 

95 beds are allocated for neurological rehabilitation. The environment in the wards and the hospital is adapted to patients with mobility disabilities. High-quality treatment and care are ensured during daytime and night-time. Each patient receives an individual rehabilitation programme, which is implemented by a team of rehabilitation specialists: physical medicine and rehabilitation doctor, general practice nurse, kinesiotherapy specialist, occupational therapist, social worker, psychologist, speech therapist, physical medicine and rehabilitation nurse and other specialists. The hospital applies the latest rehabilitation treatment technologies as well as occupational therapy, training and occupational rehabilitation. Active rehabilitation camps are organized.

Rehabilitation III, rehabilitation II, repeat rehabilitation and outpatient rehabilitation II services for adults are provided. We accept the patients referred from different health care institutions in Lithuania and foreign countries.
